Project management summary: The main objective of the project is the development of extension modules, functionalities and technological upgrade of the developed microscope LiteScope in order to significantly expand its application and commercial potential. The intention of this development is to strengthen its position in the very young and dynamically growing market of this type of electron microscope accessories. The aim of the project is to develop and market a device with parameters that are currently not available on the market at all or only to a very limited extent. The innovations should focus mainly on three areas, namely the acceleration of the so-called "Fast imaging" measurements by means of fast electronics, scanner and adaptive measurement control, the hardware development and extension of the current device with a module of techniques needed for in-situ nanoindentation and the development and implementation of software tools supporting the interpretation of data from advanced microscopy techniques and from correlative imaging. The output of the project should be a fully functional extension of the LiteScope device, tested in a number of specific applications, which will allow significantly faster measurements compared to the current LiteScope product, offer a range of accessories for a wide range of applications and use state-of-the-art methods for correlative imaging.
